Books
August 23, 2007 — Stephen NewellHere are some places to find good books. These places are for those who don’t have direct access to the campus bookstore at Southern Seminary, a treasure trove of good books. Amazon obviously is included by default, but this listing is where to find good Christian books.
First, I am an affiliate with Monergism Books. That means every time someone uses the Monergism banner (here and on the front page) to visit their online store, I get a small amount of “store credit” with them that I can apply towards any purchase I make with them. I would love to bring you reviews of good books, but it is difficult to do so on a budget. Your patronage would be greatly appreciated. Please click on the banner below to visit Monergism Books:
Also, if you are interested in becoming an affiliate yourself, please click the following link to register and become a partner affiliate with me: Register
And now, with no further ado, the list:
- Book Mooch (thanks Gretchen)
- Eisenbraums (Ancient Near East & Biblical Studies books)
- Crossway Books
- Cumberland Valley Bible Book Service
- Solid Ground Books
- Westminster Books (you’ll be supporting Said at Southern Seminary by buying from this link!)
- Banner of Truth
- Christian Book Distributors
- Reformation Heritage Books
- Sprinkle Publications
- Amazon.com
And one that as yet has no website (yes, I asked), but is the absolute best place to get books in Louisville outside of the campus bookstore at Southern Seminary:
Christian Book Nook
2116 S. Preston Street
Louisville, KY 40217
502-637-8881
christianbookky@bellsouth.net
Owner: John Smithson
Hours: M-F: 11-5; Sat. 1-5
They sell discounted books, new and used. Fluff is all but nonexistent. I —-heart—- that place.
More to come as more resources become available. These ought to do you just fine, however!
