#2 Tennessee Beats #1 Memphis 66-62!

It’s Great To Be A Tennessee Vol!

My Tennessee Volunteers will now, for the very first time, be the #1 team in the land when the new poll comes out next week after beating in-state rival and top-ranked Memphis! We’re not big on basketball in Tennessee, but it sure is fun to be excited about it!

Photos are from ESPN and the Knoxville News-Sentinel.

    Vols fan-

I admit that I envy that State of Tennessee owns the 1-2 match-up game last night. It did not look right because the 1-2 match-up games belong to UNC/Duke. But, I want to congratulate your Volunteers for proving many people wrong. My question is… will your Volunteers survive to get in Final Four? I don’t think that they would win it all or even enough to past the Elite Eight.

Congrats for the Orange to win! I was sick of Memphis getting all the talk of being undefeated when they didnt have anyone worthy on their schedule until they played Tennessee. I, for one, was pulling for Tennessee this once.

On a second note, guess its go-time now with UK and Tenn playing this wknd. Lets see if they can have a replay of their first game they played. I think UK needs it more and with the way they are playing now, UK will steal it if they can. May the best team wins!

I’m almost hoping UK does win it to recapture what they did in football to beat #1 LSU….would be sweet to do the same in basketball.
